Nursery, Kids, Teens (Nazarene Youth International)

We are BIG on Community at The Branches! We believe in the extreme worth of multi-generational ministries, but we also know the value for groups to be groups when the time is right!

  • A staffed nursery is available on Sunday morning for kids from crib through 2 years old during Sunday morning Discipleship classes (9:45-10:45) and during the Sunday morning worship time (10:55-12:15)
  • Classes are available for kids age 3-11 during the same time with Children's Church taking place during the morning worship time. All ages meet together in the Sanctuary on the first Sunday of each month
  • Teens are in the main worship service on Sunday morning and are encouraged to help and take part in every way! They may help with music or AV, take up offering, read a portion of Scripture, or occasionally, lead the entire service.
  • WEDNESDAY evening from 6:30-7:30 there are age specific classes for kids and teens taking place at the same time the adult discipleship class meets. Adults are normally in the Fellowship Hall, Teens in youth room downstairs, and kids meet upstairs or outside depending on their activities and the weather.
  • Annual programs include VBS, Community School Supply Giveaway, Summer Suppers, District Children's Talent event, District Teen Talent and Sports Explosion, Regional Teen talent and sports event (TNT@TNU) at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN, Fall Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, and more.

Exceptionally Made :: Special Needs Ministry

Sometimes you start a ministry area because of a perceived need, and sometimes the LORD just GROWS a ministry right in front of you! Our Special Needs ministry was planted and began to grow because a couple parents wanted to see a program for their child with Autism.

Step one was overcoming the hurdle of 'being afraid', afraid we were in over our heads, afraid we didn't know what we were doing, afraid we'd mess up and make mistakes. Well, we WERE in over our heads, we DIDN'T know what we were doing, and we DID make lots of mistakes!

Through it all the LORD just kept using our ministry to love on students and families who frankly hadn't always had great experiences with Church.

What began to grow and is still growing is a ministry with people from various backgrounds with differing levels of ability and development... a teaching program where students learn together, sing together, create together and fellowship together, but at the level where they need to be met. God is really helping us in this Exceptionally Made program, even though we are still in over our heads, don't know what we are doing, and make lots of mistakes.

Some of those parents also formed a parent support group independent of the Church that meets together for mutual support and resourcing. Real Talk has become a great help for many of our Community families, regardless of any Church attendance or affiliation.

Nazarene discipleship international

The mission of Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI) is to carry out the Great Commission to children, youth, and adults in preparation for a lifelong journey of being and making Christlike disciples in the nations.

Discipleship is following Jesus and including others in our journey of grace.

Locally, NDI is our 'Sunday School' arm of Church, but Sunday School doesn't really encompass all NDI is and does. Discipleship is that process not just of 'outreach', but relationship with those around us. Really any and everyone we know is someone we have the potential to disciple, maybe just by demonstrating the Love of Jesus through a smile or a kind word. Discipleship training is all about helping us to learn to Love God and Love Others! This is a primary part of our Mission... LOVING ● GROWING SERVING
